Event Overview
Web Summit is one of the world's largest technology conferences, held annually in Lisbon across the MEO Arena and FIL Exhibition Centre in the Parque das Nações district. It attracts a large international audience of founders, investors, corporate executives and media.
As with other major vertical conferences, Web Summit is relevant to the MICE and DMC industry primarily as a generator of corporate hospitality, executive travel and side-event demand, rather than as a meetings-industry trade show in its own right.
Who Attends
- Technology founders, investors and corporate executives
- Corporate event and conference planners organising client attendance
- Sponsorship, hospitality and delegate management teams
- Technology, media and investment sector suppliers
Why This Event Matters
Web Summit's scale and international profile make Lisbon a significant short-term demand driver for corporate hospitality, executive accommodation and side-event logistics each November, relevant to agencies serving technology and investment sector clients.
What MICE Professionals Should Know
- Attendance is dominated by technology, investment and media professionals rather than meetings-industry buyers.
- Corporate hospitality and side events around the conference are typically organised independently of the main event by exhibiting companies and sponsors.
- Lisbon's hotel capacity is under significant pressure during the event, so accommodation and logistics should be arranged well in advance.
